The container beams from OX Worldwide are an optimal solution for the transport and handling of containers.

Sea containers are usually loaded using rectangular container lifting beams that have a twist lock at each corner to attach them to the container. This means that the width of this lifting beam is exactly the same size as the load to be handled. This makes the lifting device incredibly heavy and bulky, which is particularly noticeable during loading or storage.

OX Worldwide’s container beams are less bulky and far more efficient as they consist of a single beam the width of the container. The slings or lifting chains are attached to the four lower attachement points of the lifting beam, which have a container hook on the side at the ends. These container hooks are only attached to the lower corners of the container.

Universally applicable
The container beam is suitable for 20′, 40′ and 40′ HC containers.
Easy and quick to use
The container beam consists of one piece and is therefore ready for immediate use. All you have to do is attach it into the crane hook at the top and the lower slings to the lifting beam and load and the container can be maneuvered.

The maximum capacity is 35 t.
Low own weight
In contrast to conventional container beams, this special lifting beam weighs only 500 kg due to its compactness.
One model for two lifting options
With the OX-DUPLO container beam you can carry out two different lifting options:
- with a central attachement point – with suspension ring and shackle, for minimal loss of height
- with attachement points at the side – with two-strand chain suspension, greater height required, but load hangs more stable in position
Short-term delivery
The Spanish manufacturer OX Worldwide has this container beam with a load capacity of up to 35 t in stock and can therefore deliver at short notice (subject to prior sale).

Specifications of a container beam

Material:

The materials used are steel S275 for the traverse and steel S355 for the remaining components.

Finish:

The primer of the products consists of sandblasting Sa 2.5 in accordance with ISO 8501-1.
This is followed by a layer of epoxy zinc phosphate primer with a thickness of 50 µm.
The finish is completed with two layers of polyurethane enamel paint RAL 2004.
Painting in your company color is possible upon request, but with longer delivery times.

Alternative lifting solutions for containers

Alternatively, containers can also be moved with modular spreader beams, configured as a 1-over-2 lifting solution, or with a suitable spreader frame. Or use a practical, immediately usable multi lug beam.
